This year I look forward to…

It’s not late yet for a wishlist right?

Here’s what I’m excited for this year:

1. Being Unapologetic

I have made a lot of excuses about why I can’t put my talents out there. I possess some greatness that I feel I’m holding back for some reason

2. Being courageous
We all have a voice, and I feel ready to use mine without the fear of what everyone else will think of me.
3. Forgive, be proud and committing to myself
Lisa Nichols, the famous motivational speaker and author, says we nees to do these three things to move on in life and to be our best selves. I sat in front of a mirror the first day after watching her video talking about this and said three things I was proud of myself, three things I was forgiving myself for and three things I committeed to do for myself. I instantly felt lighter afterwards with a few shedded tears. obviously you’ll have to do this constantly.

4. Being a Present Parent
Being a parent on its own is like a chore and you don’t have a choice but do what you have to do. Being present, however, you’re in the moment, you set time aside for your little ones and you bond and laugh and share moments with them. My son loves attention and I love texting on my phone, when he needs my attention he will do anything to get it. This is how I noticed I needed to pay more attention.

5. Building my brand
My crochet business has been performing well. I love it too and hope that it grows to something more than just a way to get by. My blog as well is something I want to build and make it a tool to help other women with. Hopefully this year I will blog more constantly.

6. Communicate more
I’m an introvert, a schoolmate once admitted that I was difficult to approach. At the time I just laughed at this. Now I understand as it makes it hard for me to reach out to others as well.

7. Real and lasting relationships
Friendships are so hard to keep these days with social media. I know it’s supposed to make things easier but I find social media making it hard for friendships to last as we now only use it to communicate. I have a friend I only saw a few times after highschool and they dont even live far from me. Everyone is always busy with something. I’m looking forward to meeting with them more often and maybe we might go back to being close like we used to in highschool.

8. Healthy mental state
Someone said you can’t pour from an empty cup. I’m a very sensitive person and I can go from being happy and hopeful to someone who has lost hope within seconds. I hope I will manage to book myself an appointment with a therapist and actually go see them. I have done it in the past and never finished my sessions.

9. Empowering more women
I am looking forward to giving hope to women in my community, to my friends and family and to keep trlling their inspiring stories.

I’m ready!

It’s always good to look forward to all these things. I really enjoyed reading this post. Great points made and I agree with this social media age that we are living in, people neglect having genuine relationships with people which is not good. Social media is ehn. It has its pros and cons. I miss those good ole days when people rode their bikes and actually go to dinner without looking at their phones. May your crotchet business flourish. I hope your baby is doing well ✨😊. Thank you for sharing.

That’s a lot. I hope you can narrow it down to a place to start so you don’t overwhelm yourself. From this end, the time with your boy seems most important.
