To unmothered mothers

Dear unmothered mothers, I thought I should write to you to let you know how loved and strong you are.

I know of how you wake up each morning to make sure you dont fail at loving your sons and daughters the same way you would have wanted to be loved.

I need you to know that you have done a great job at loving even with your deep longing of the same kind of loving.

How does one love so naturally and unconditionally?

I look at you and find the strength in your eyes from the tears you’ve cried when you were all by yourself in a new world with nothing to fall to.

I know how much gratitude you have towards everyone who collectively gave you a hand,

I must say, those hands meant everything.

However,

The void had always been there. And maybe will never die.

Raising two babies, the one you are and the one you gave birth to.

You have come out a lioness.

I hope you find how much of a warrior you are.
