Seeing as we were celebrating the month of love, I decided to review one of my favourite books on the subject.

A beautifully curated ensemble of poetry, I’ve had this book for two months and I have been re-reading some of my favourite poems for days on end because of how well they resonate with me. The poems perfectly articulate some of the feelings we have on life & love however, instead of the usual review where I share my opinions on the book, I decided to add a couple of my favourite poems.

Also, to purchase the book contact the self-published author on HYPERLINK “mailto:zak.mlaba@gmail.com” zak.mlaba@gmail.com (@zakimlaba). Spoil someone you love or better yet, spoil yourself. Enjoy!!!

Moonlight
See yourself in the moonlight.
Love yourself in the moon’s light.
Love yourself in your light.
Love yourself in the darkness.
Who are you,
When the sun goes down
And the moonlight rises?
Who are you,
When your sun goes down
And your darkness rises?

When the moon is lit,
Is it enough?
Does it need the darkness to be aware of its light?
Do you need your darkness
To be aware of your light?

Your light shines through your soul.
Your darkness shines through your light.

Love yourself in the moonlight.
Love yourself
In the moon’s light.

Everywhere

I look for you everywhere.
I look for you in everything.

I didn’t know that you are everything.
I didn’t know that you are in everything.

I look for you outside of myself.
I didn’t know that you are in me.
I didn’t know that you are me.

I look for you everywhere.
I feel you everywhere.

I look for you in big moments.
I feel you in small big moments.

I look for you.
I feel you

Everywhere.
